PAPER RECYCLING BIN—Less Trash, More $$$—Bring newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail (window envelopes okay), and office/school papers to Chilson’s own Abitibi Paper Retriever Bin, open to the community. Chilson earns money from the paper collected! Abitibi is the world’s largest manufacturer of recycled newsprint for newspapers. Products that will NOT recycle are cardboard (including cereal/soda cartons), food wrap containers, tissue products, phone books, plastic, and glass.

BRING IN YOUR VG'S RECEIPTS—VG’s Receipts Made Simple (Help for the Disheartened)—If you shop VG’s, you can help solve pressing local needs by placing your VG’s receipts in the VG’s Box in the Main Lobby. From there, receipts are taken by Lynda Chase back to VG’s and 1% of the total value boosts our Love INC Fund, helping the disheartened. Receipts in December 2008 brought in $108.87!! Notice that box soon!
GIVE & RECEIVE HOPE AT OUR CHILSON BLOOD DRIVES--Come in for a free lunch and warmth at the next Blood Drive. Held four times per year on a Friday at Chilson from 1:30-7:00 p.m., important opportunities abound: greet donors (pick a shift), cook soup, bread, or bring snacks, volunteer in the canteen area (pick a shift), build the volunteerism area of your resume, overcome a fear of needles, and support the continuance of life! GLEANERS NEEDS PAPER PRODUCTS—Gleaners Food Bank has indicated they are low in paper and hygiene products. These products move very fast and include: baby diapers, toilet tissue, female hygiene products, toilet paper, facial tissue, and paper towels.
FURNITURE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT LOVE INC—Saturdays delivering and picking up furniture. The Furniture Ministry is Love INC’s largest ministry, giving away over 1,000 pieces of furniture last year. Call Tina (810) 571-1627.
