Dear Guest,

Chilson is but one part of God’s beloved worldwide community. At Chilson, we seek to follow God’s Vision for us while respecting the visions God gives to each church.

In 1999, we planted a peace pole, close to the center of our 12 acres of land, to indicate our commitment to living and growing God’s peace. We seek peace with God, peace with all Christ followers, and peace with the people God brings into our awareness. Therefore, my prayer for you is that the peace of God will be with you and your family.

God’s vision for Chilson Hills Church is: “connecting together in Christ to serve all God’s people and renewing ourselves through Jesus’ teaching of love, healing, and forgiveness.” This Vision is core for all that we do. We believe that God’s vision is vital for our ministry to each other and to the world. We regularly evaluate every part of our church to make sure that we are aligned with God’s vision for us.

Each church is a unique gathering of God’s people and Chilson is no exception. One new member told me that she took an entire year to figure out what Chilson Hills was about. I humbly asked her what she had decided. Her response was surprising, but I believe accurate. Chilson reminded her of a research teaching hospital. We are focused on God's unconditional love, God's healing, and God's forgiveness! We are constantly searching for new ways to teach and to experience these vital aspects of God’s presence in our world. People do find spiritual healing here. And, people do find a challenge to grow spiritually beyond their comfort zones.

I invite you to experience Chilson Hills. We have Life Groups that meet regularly in homes—visit one! We are focused on growing first-class children/youth programs that will enable young people to know and love Jesus in a real and personal way. We have over 45 Ministry and Mission Teams who are actually doing the work of Jesus. Seek out one of these teams to experience fulfillment in mission or ministry!

Chilson Hills seeks to actually live up to the phrase, “Every Member is a Minister!” Become involved and allow the Spirit of God to bless you!

Grace and Peace,
Rev. Dr. David W. Swink

About Chilson Hills Church
by Bob Miley, Deacon

"Chilson Hills, with its freedom from religious orthodoxy, has helped me pursue
a closer relationship with our God and my Church family. My heart has
been opened. My inner core has been cleansed to view other faiths and
denominations--all in the name of Christ--to see wholesome goodness in
worship and congregation--good people held by gravity in this world but
yet boundless in freedom to the Holy Spirit."
